A 23-year-old Lithuanian man fell seriously ill in Kutaisi during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was treated in a local hospital and later transferred to a medical center in Tbilisi for further care. According to Lrytas, on May 14, the man arrived in Georgia on a private flight with his mother. He was initially healthy and had no chronic diseases or active life-threatening conditions. On the second day of his stay, he contracted COVID-19. He was hospitalized and later transferred to the Medical Center of the Armed Forces of Georgia in Kutaisi. During treatment, he developed severe complications related to the virus. Despite the efforts of doctors, the young man passed away. This case highlights the importance of health precautions during travel and the challenges posed by the pandemic.
