Грузия, Азербайджан, Армения и Турция обратились к Европейскому Союзу с предложением включить «Зеленый энергетический коридор» из Южного Кавказа в перечень проектов общеевропейского интереса (Projects of Common Interest, PCI) и проектов взаимного интереса (Projects of Mutual Interest, PMI). Об этом сообщил министр энергетики Азербайджана Парвиз Шахбазов.

По его словам, совместное заявление было подано на 12-м заседании министров стран-участниц проекта, состоявшемся в Баку. Там стороны обсудили развитие технико-экономического обоснования после официального представления проекта от стадии планирования к стадии практической реализации.

«Наши совместные усилия ускорят реализацию этой стратегической инициативы, которая станет важным звеном в цепочке энергоснабжения в Европу», — отметил министр, подчеркнув значимость проекта для регионального энергетического сотрудничества и устойчивого развития.
