26 мая в Грузии официально отметят 1700-летие христианства как государственной религии. Торжество возглавит премьер-министр Ираклий Кобахидзе, трансляция пройдет в эфире телеканала «Имеди». Ожидается, что мероприятие соберет более 8 миллионов зрителей, что превысит 3 миллиона зрителей в 2025 году. В течение года пройдут серии мероприятий, кульминацией которых станет 14 октября — День Святого Креста, один из главных религиозных праздников Грузии. В рамках празднования запланированы конференции, студенческие экспедиции и культурно-просветительские проекты, посвященные истории христианства в стране. Для организации фестиваля создана специальная комиссия, сопредседателями которой являются Кобахидзе и Католикос-Патриарх.

On May 26, Georgia will officially celebrate the 1700th anniversary of Christianity as the state religion. The event will be marked by a ceremony led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, broadcasted live on the 'Imedi' television channel. The celebration is expected to attract over 8 million viewers, surpassing the 3 million viewers recorded in 2025. The festivities will include a series of events throughout the year, culminating on October 14 with the Holy Cross Day, one of the main religious holidays in Georgia. Throughout the year, numerous conferences, student expeditions, and cultural projects will take place, highlighting the rich history of Christianity in Georgia. To support the festival, a special commission has been established, with Kobakhidze and Katolikos-Patriarch as its co-chairs.
