В Грузии пять тысяч студентов задержаны по обвинению в участии в антивластных протестах 2024 года. Об этом сегодня на брифинге сообщил глава правительства страны Георгий Гварамидзе.

Среди обвиняемых — трое видных и один депутат студенческого представительства МВД.

После объявления о задержаниях отреагировали представители оппозиционного лидера Звиада Майсашвили, политик Леван Хабеишвили и журналист Гурам Рогава.

Леван Хабеишвили заявил 30 апреля 2024 года:

«Как сообщил Гварамидзе, двое из пяти задержанных студентов уже найдены под давлением со стороны других государственных и административных органов. Еще трое были задержаны сегодня.»

Все стороны заявили о своих позициях по поводу ситуации с задержанными студентами, некоторые выразили обеспокоенность, другие поддержали действия правительства.

In Georgia, five thousand students were expelled for participating in anti-government protests in 2024. This was announced today at a briefing by the head of the Georgian government, Giorgi Gvaramidze.

Among the expelled are three prominent and one deputy student representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Following the announcement, figures close to the opposition leader Zviad Maisashvili, politician Levan Khabeishvili, and journalist Guram Rogava reacted.

Levan Khabeishvili stated on April 30, 2024:

"As Gvaramidze announced, two of the five expelled students have already been found under pressure from other government and administrative bodies. Three more figures were expelled today."

All parties have announced statements regarding the situation of the detained students, with some expressing concern and others supporting the government's actions.
