Грузия усиливает контакты с крупными китайскими энергетическими компаниями на фоне расширения экономического сотрудничества с Пекином.
В рамках рабочего визита в Китай глава Минэкономики Мариам Квривишвили провела переговоры с руководством Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation и China Zhen Hua Oil. Как заявили в министерстве, обе компании подтвердили заинтересованность в нефтегазовом секторе Грузии, а China Zhen Hua Oil – в разведке и добыче в Грузии.
«Стороны обсудили возможности добычи нефти и газа в Грузии. Китайская сторона выразила заинтересованность в инвестициях в энергетический сектор Грузии», – сообщили в министерстве.
Вместе с Квривишвили в состав грузинской делегации входят ее заместители Геннадий Арвеладзе и Иракли Надареишвили, директор агентства «Производи в Грузии» Михаил Хидурели, глава государственного Агентства нефти и газа Георгий Татишвили и посол Грузии в Китае Бесик Шарашенидзе.
Georgia is strengthening contacts with major Chinese energy companies amid expanding economic cooperation with Beijing.
During a working visit to China, Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili held negotiations with the leadership of Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation and China Zhen Hua Oil. According to the ministry, both companies confirmed their interest in Georgia's oil and gas sector, with China Zhen Hua Oil specifically interested in exploration and extraction in Georgia.
"The parties discussed opportunities for oil and gas extraction in Georgia. The Chinese side expressed interest in investing in Georgia's energy sector," the ministry reported.
The Georgian delegation accompanying Kvrivishvili includes her deputies Gennady Arveladze and Irakli Nadareishvili, director of the "Produce in Georgia" agency Mikhail Khidureli, head of the state Oil and Gas Agency Georgy Tatishvili, and Georgia's Ambassador to China Besik Sharasheidze.
